After learning about the organisms that make up a food chain, students will explore different ecosystems, the animal and plant within those ecosystems, the characteristics that make up the ecosystems and create both a food chain to represent food chains there and an informational writing piece.

Students can use the ecosystem cards to learn about different ecosystems and build chains. After students learn about the different ecosystems they can create a writing piece to go along with their learning. I’ve included a kid friendly website students may also use to collect more information on the different ecosystems.
Ecosystem Cards should be printed double sided so the facts print on the back of the card.
